River Scene composite for Stalemate

This is a compositing and Photoshop project I did for my short film Stalemate. I shot the original footage in a dry creek bed under a bridge that plays a key part in the movie. However, the script called for a creek with water in it. So I took footage of a running creek elsewhere and composited it into the original footage. I took a frame from each piece of footage and merged them in Photoshop to create an invisible seam between the two. I then placed the original creek bed footage under the Photoshop matte and the masked creek footage on top of the matte. Then I rotoscoped the character on top of it all. The result is a very convincing shot of a soldier walking through a watery creek bed - the water flows and the trees wave in the breeze. There were several such shots needed in the film. Most of the other shots are still in progress. I'll try to update this with the final scene footage when I can. View the trailer here: http://www.stalemate.nwsfilms.com/
